Today the studio opens the intheloop library: a reading room for courses and tutorials, live at learn.intheloop.space. Everything in it is free to read. There is no paywall and no gate. An account exists for one reason only, to keep your place, and the library works fine without one.
A course here is not a video playlist. It is a collection of essays, written to be read in order, each one self-contained. The form is deliberate. Text can be searched, quoted, corrected, and read at whatever speed the material deserves.
II · Two subjects, one standard
The library covers the two lines of work the studio already stands on. Decentralized finance: ledgers, keys, stablecoins, automated markets, credit, and the failure modes that thread through all of them. Not price commentary. Mechanism.
And AI, in both of its current senses. The machine learning underneath: models, training, optimization, evaluation. And the newer discipline forming on top, modern AI engineering: agentic systems, retrieval, tool use, and the unglamorous craft of making systems that reason behave in production.
The standard is the same for both: explain the machinery, name the risks, skip the hype. Technical, or not at all.
III · The first course
The shelves open with № 001, A complete introduction to DeFi: five lessons that rebuild finance from first principles, on-chain. What DeFi actually is. Wallets, keys, and custody. Stablecoins. Exchanges and AMMs. Lending, borrowing, and a sober taxonomy of how it all loses money. No prior crypto knowledge assumed. A healthy amount of skepticism is.
AI courses are in the queue, built to the same shape: from foundations to the working edge, one essay at a time.
IV · Why a library
The argument was already made in № 001 of these pages: closed rots, open compounds. Publishing research and tools raises the floor. Teaching raises it faster, because it hands the next builder the map instead of the artifact. The library is that argument, made structural.
